Frequently asked questions

We are run by elves who keep interesting hours. Our fall and winter season hours are hit and miss. We'll be here when we are not away at craft shows, in the North Pole helping you know who, or hibernating for the winter.

If you need to reach us please try emailing and an elf will get back to you as soon as possible.

Free shipping is applied to orders over $100 shipped within Canada and the US. To qualify the order must be over $100 after any discounts and before any taxes are applied.

We ship fast, usually 12-24 hrs if you are ordering on a weekday. If you need to change your order, please contact us at as quickly as you can. We are diligent elves and check the email all the time.

We want you to be thrilled with your entire order! If you are not happy with any part of it, please let us know asap at You can find our full refund/exchange policies here.

Why not? If we weren't elves, we would be Santa Clauses, reindeer, or snowmen. Our job descriptions fall firmly in the domain of an elf.

The cost to ship our towels is calculated once items are added to the cart. The price is based on the weight and the volume. We use Canada Post expedited service and we charge you what they charge us. To ship one tea towel anywhere in Canada costs $4.50, $6.50 to the USA.

We cannot split ship an order. If you have several addresses to ship to, you need to order once for each address. If shipping just one towel, keep in mind it is only $4.50 for the envelope anywhere in Canada.

Our packaging will surprise you, and it should keep you entertained. We try to use very minimal packaging and it is recyclable.

We treat every order we receive as if it were a gift, but if you would like to make it even more special we offer a gift wrapping option for an additional $5. A handwritten card is included with every order so just let us know what you would like your note to say. Please rest assured that very smart and creative elves are handling this.

Our tea towels are 100% cotton, and they wash really well. They will shrink roughly 1/2 inch on each side with the first wash. We suggest a cold-water wash on a normal cycle. If you are using a dryer, give the towel a good shake when it is dry to help soften the wrinkles. We elves do not iron, we know some of you do and man oh man, the towels look fantastic when ironed.

Our tea towels measure 18" x 22" and will shrink roughly 1/2" on each side after the first wash.

Our bags are 100% cotton and measure 15" x 17".

Our coasters and magnets measure 4" x 4" and are made of MDF wood.

Our mini cards are 3.5" x 3.5" and the envelope is 4" x 4", which is too small for Canada Post. If mailing, you will need to pop it into a bigger envelope.

All over the place! When you are thinking about how to rewire your toaster, calculate the kilometers you drove from work last week or write up a report on dwindling salmon stocks, Sa is thinking about the following: what could the toaster do other than make toast, or what would those salmon say if they could be interviewed on the news?

We print with water-based printing inks.
