Limited Edition Prints
Hi there people who have arrived at the Limited Edition page, I just thought I would tell you about the first 18 years of my art career when I was a printmaker. After graduating from art college this was a medium I really enjoyed so I made it my full time job. I probably etched over 250 plates and pulled all those editions through an etching press. Making an etching plate can take two to three days in and out of the acid and pulling an edition is laborious. Each time you pull a print you need to wash the plate and re-ink it up before pulling the next print. It is a slow process but I really loved that part of my career. Over the years since I quit printmaking (17 or so) I have people often asking if I have any prints left. OK, I know this took a while, but not as long as the ice age.
One thing I need to mention is that in most cases there is only one print available. Some are framed and some are matted. All the matting is acid free. I hope you will enjoy this collection. If you are interested in purchasing any of the original etching plates please let me know. I might just make a space on my site to show those too. That was a lot of writing. I will go now. ~Sa
